Delectable Flourless (Peppermint) Chocolate Brownies

When you are looking for a treat to share, these brownies are a great option! With the main ingredient being black beans these brownies are sweetened with pure organic maple syrup and include several super food ingredients. I like to cut these into small bites, but if you cut the batch into only 24 pieces for larger servings, each piece will still have less than 8 grams of sugar (natural sugar!) and just under 4 grams of fiber. Plus they contain several great nutrients. The recipe has been taste tested and are crowd approved. Enjoy!

Delectable Flourless (Peppermint) Chocolate Brownies

  • 2 – 15.5oz can black beans
  • 4 Tb. Raw cocoa
  • 1 cup rolled (I use organic sprouted) oats
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt or Himalayan pink salt
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup Extra Virgin coconut oil
  • 4 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder (aluminum free)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips +some extra to sprinkle on top (I like Enjoy Life brand dark chocolate morsels)
  • For peppermint brownies- add 8 drops of Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350. Combine all ingredients, except the chips, in a food processor and blend until completely smooth. Stir in the chips and place in an 9x13 inch baking dish lined with parchment paper (unbleached). Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until set. If they are two soft, don’t fret!
